Mrs. Ronna G. Privette, Administrative Assistant
Ronna was born and raised in the Long Creek/ Coulwood communities, and currently lives in Stanley, North Carolina. She graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1972 and attended Central Piedmont Community College. She and her husband Wayne were married in the summer of 1972 and have 2 daughters. Her current hobby is her granddaughter, Addison. Ronna is a life long member of Trinity United Methodist Church and has worked as the secretary of Trinity since 1981. Mrs. Tommie D. Plummer, Administrative Assistant
Tommie grew up in Charlotte and graduated from Harry P. Harding High in 1955 and attended King Business School. Tommie and her husband, Kenneth, live in the Long Creek Community and have one daughter, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Tommie retired after 34 years with Arthur Andersen LLP as Supervisor of Information Technology Division and started as the church's Administrative Assistant in May 1999. Mr. Malcolm Miller, Treasurer
Malcolm was born in Charlotte, grew up in the Elizabeth area, and currently lives in Huntersville. He graduated from West Charlotte High in 1981 and attended UNC-Charlotte before beginning a lifelong career as a Computer Software Engineer and Quality Assurance Analyst in the healthcare and financial industries. Malcolm and his wife, Carolyn, a lifelong member of Trinity, were married in March 1988 and have one lovely daughter Laura. Malcolm has served in leadership positions on many committees and became the Treasurer at Trinity in 2003. He also is our resident IT expert and acts as a backup sound engineer.
Mrs. Cheryl Howard, Choir Director
Cheryl was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. Cheryl and her husband, Jimmy Howard, were married in July 1976 and moved to Charlotte. They joined Trinity United Methodist Church in January 1977. Cheryl and Jimmy are blessed to have two children, Cory and Holly, and one son-in-law, Shea Hartsell. Jimmy accepted the call into the ministry in 1993 and pastored the Native American Indian Church, Zoar UMC, and is now at Asbury UMC in Huntersville where they currently live. Cheryl taught Elementary School in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School District from 1976 - 2004. She became the pianist for Trinity in 1977 and served in that position until 2002. She is now seen every Sunday morning serving as the Organist and Choir Director since 2003. Cheryl is always busy at Trinity Church, currently serving on the Playschool Board, UMW Executive Board, Age Level Committee, acting as the Sunday School Superintendent, and in charge of the Trinity Sandwich Shop. She is also a Certified Lay Speaker for the United Methodist Church and a District Lay Delegate to Annual Conference.
Ms. Claudia Myers, Playschool Director
Claudia Myers has been the director of our preschool program since it opened over 28 years ago. She is the mother of two and the grandmother of two. Claudia's beliefs are that all children are unique, each with their own God given talents. Trinity Playschool's curriculum is designed to meet the needs of each individual child enrolled. It is also the belief of Claudia and the school that "Play is the Work of the Child".
