BIBLE STUDIES - JOHN 3:16 by Max Lucado

SEARCHING THE WORD CLASS

This class was formed in January 2008 under the lesson leader of Mike Raynor and is made up of ages 40's to 60's, but has something to offer anyone from teens to seniors.

Their studies are taken directly from the Bible such as the Parables of Jesus, with guidelines created by Mike Raynor with a book titled "The Parables - Understanding the Stories Jesus Told" by Simon Kistemaker and we study the Book of Genesis.

This class participates in Room In The Inn and Crop Walk. This class takes the lead in organizing the Annual Golf Tournament and give their time and/or support to the Choir, Praise Team, UMM, UMW, Children's Church, Nursery and various church committees.

This class is unique in their study style with the leader being a facilitator for discussion and often times spirited exchanges among class members. Each attendee is encouraged to give his/her opinions and no questions are irrelevant when we are in search of the TRUTH. We try to begin each class with a prepared devotion by a class member and then what we call "T-N-T". It is our acronym for "Trails and Treasures". We share in class any trial we may be dealing with and want prayer for or we share a treasure that came into our lives recently.

HOME BUILDERS CLASS

This class meets in the Lee Auditorium of the Family Life Center. They are currently using UMC FaithLinks as their curriculum, which is a weekly lesson that examines current news from the perspective of biblical faith and United Methodist teaching. A great class for parents!

NEISLER/FRIENDSHIP CLASS

This class meets in the Conference Room in the Family Life Center. For curriculum they use the International Bible Studies. This is a very dedicated class that has contributed much to the church over the years such as the Bradford pear trees and the Beth Moore Memorial Garden.

THE YOUNTZ-HOUGH CLASS

This faithful class meets on the first floor of our Education Building, down the hall and to the right. They use the International Bible Studies for their curriculum, along with good class discussions. They go out to each lunch after Sunday Services, take trips together, and go to movies from time to time. There are several widows in this class and they like to stay in touch with each other during the week and make sure everyone is doing well.
